Evening Workshop 14th September 2021

How to become an effective communicator & gaining the skills to talk about mental health with our patients

One of the biggest concerns for pharmacy staff assisting their patients with mental health is the ability to talk comfortably and confidently. Gaining the skills and experience to start the conversation can be daunting but with the right guidance and advice, you can build rapport with your patient and start the conversation.

Presented by Clinical Psychologist Kris Kafer from Black Dog Institute, the live session will discuss the importance of language and how to effectively utilise our communication skills in talking with our patients about their mental health.

Registration is open to all NSW based pharmacy staff, and pharmacists and pharmacy assistants are encouraged to participate.

Upon successful completion of the available learning module, your pharmacy will be able to identify themselves as a safe space to their community.
