Getting to know Guild Training NSW


Ian Bartlett
Learning & Development Manager NSW/ACT

Ian joined the Guild in July 2015 and brings a wealth of experience in the learning and development area, acquired globally.  Most recently Ian was Director of Learning at American Express for Australia and other Asia-Pacific markets.  Ian has successfully designed and implemented global learning interventions, sharing and executing best practices for customer facing and back office employees.  With experience in learning design, delivery and evaluation of tailored learning programs Ian is excited to be part of the Guild’s future, working with the existing team of learning professionals.

When not working, Ian is an ardent traveller and will be found either travelling or planning his next trip!


Cindy Hume
Trainer & Assessor









Cindy has worked in the Pharmacy industry for over 20 years and Retail in general for 26 years.

During her career Cindy has obtained a Cert IV in Frontline Management, Cert IV in Community Pharmacy, Cert IV in Training and Assessment and Diploma in Retail Management.

Cindy is a huge advocate of training, feeling that you can never undertake enough. There is always something new to learn!

Cindy is one of our offsite trainers, based in Albury NSW. Cindy looks after the Riverina, ACT and School Based students.

Cindy’s hobbies include photography, gardening, baking and reading.


Joanne Docherty
Trainer & Assessor









Joanne joined the Guild training team 3 years ago as a remote trainer based in the Illawarra and central Sydney area. She has 24 years’ experience combined in the pharmacy industry as a pharmacy assistant, dispensary manager and pharmacy manager.

Joanne holds qualifications in training and assessment, Diploma in retail management (pending) and Certificate III and IV in community pharmacy.

“The best part of my job is that I get to learn from my students as much as they get to learn from me”. “I love my job and working for the Pharmacy Guild.”

In her spare time Joanne loves walking, jogging, Yoga, reading and spending time with the family and friends.

Yasmin Lees
Trainer & Assessor










Yasmin Lees joined the Guild Training team earlier this year and works as a fulltime trainer working both remotely and in the office. With 16 years pharmacy experience and a background in legal and health administration, she brings extensive experience as a pharmacy assistant, dispensary technician and front of store manager running a successful independent pharmacy for many years.

Keen to learn, over her career Yasmin has attained a Cert IV in Business Sales, Cert II, III and IV in Community Pharmacy, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Advanced Medical Terminology, and is currently completing a Diploma in Retail Management. Yasmin is also undertaking a bachelor of Human Resources and Business Management with a minor in Marketing part time at Monash University.

Yasmin is passionate about the importance of staff training and development and feels it is the key to a positive customer experience and growing a retail pharmacy business. She enjoys talking with her students and sharing her knowledge with them. “Working at the Pharmacy Guild is such a great opportunity to pass on the knowledge and experience I have been able to gain over the years and help to build the same passion about pharmacy that I have enjoyed sharing with customers and staff.”

During her down time Yasmin enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, baking, photography and the theatre.
