The steps involved in getting a product or service endorsed:
Provide information to the Business Development Manager about the company, product background and its potential for pharmacy. A basic assessment will be undertaken on the suitability of the product or service for community pharmacy. Further information may also be requested.
The Manager may then request a formal proposal from the company where a number of criteria are to be addressed.
This is then submitted to the NSW Guild Committee for evaluation.
If the proposal is approved by the Branch Committee, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia endorses the product or service and it becomes available to all pharmacies nationally.
Sales attract an endorsement fee which is a percentage of sales.
