Each member of the Pharmacy Business Support team has firsthand experience and understanding of what it’s like to be an owner or manager.  The team is made up of handpicked individuals (Support Officers) who have experience in a wide variety of pharmacies models and roles. The Business Support Team has over 80 years of business and leadership to support our members.

Jacqueline Henricks

Pharmacy Business Support & QCPP State Manager

Jacqueline has worked in the pharmacy industry for nearly a decade. As an eager pharmacist, Jacqueline spent over six years as the Pharmacist-in-Charge and Professional Services Pharmacist in two busy pharmacies located in the regional town of Warwick.

During her time in Warwick, Jacqueline was heavily involved in the Quality Care Pharmacy Program, facilitating the implementation and delivery of professional services as well as the general day-to-day management of the businesses. Since starting at the Guild in 2014 Jacqueline has championed a mental health project, assisted with the Intern Training Program as a Clinical Tutor and is the QCPP State Manager for QLD.

Jacqueline enjoys keeping fit and in 2016 has taken her professional licence as a Triathlete. Her favourite distance is the Half Ironman, which includes a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and 21.1km run!

Nicholas Efstathis

Pharmacy Business Support Pharmacist

Nick is a graduate of the University of Queensland and has worked in community pharmacy and as an Australian Armed Forces contract pharmacist in Townsville, Gold Coast and Brisbane. Nick has 25 years of pharmacy management and business ownership experience. He has owned and operated independent and franchise pharmacies of all sizes, types and locations throughout his career.  He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Management which was completed externally in 2013, while balancing business and family commitments.

Nick enjoys utilizing the principles of business management, and through his role as Professional Practice Pharmacist is keen to provide support to community pharmacy.

Outside of pharmacy, Nick is a loyal supporter of the North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL.

Dimitri Costi

Pharmacy Business Support Pharmacist

For over a decade, Dimitri has enjoyed working in community pharmacy. He started his career in an entry level position before being promoted to pharmacist in charge, then manager and eventually becoming an owner.

Throughout his time as a manager and owner, Dimitri implemented many services into the pharmacy, including a condition management and reporting system that promotes open discussions about health conditions with patients. His strongest focus however was on the customer experience and implementing continuous opportunities for improvement, all while ensuring the efficient day to day running of the store.

During his career Dimitri has always been involved with the implementation of new services that are offered as part of the community pharmacy agreement and has always admired the quality of services that pharmacies are able to implement into the community.

Dimitri continued his training by becoming an accredited pharmacist as well as completing his graduate certificate in business. He is currently studying his Master’s in Business Administration.
In his spare time Dimitri enjoys honing culinary skills and is a fan of movies both classic and modern.

Kelly Danvers

Pharmacy Business Support Officer

Throughout her career Kelly has gained extensive experience across retail pharmacy products, service and operations.

Starting out as Pharmacy Assistant in 1999, Kelly developed a keen interest in training and development. This led her to commence a Group Trainer role where she was responsible for the education and Certificate II qualifications of trainee pharmacy assistants.

Over the past eight years, Kelly has been employed as a Retail Manager in several community focussed pharmacies in Brisbane’s North. In these roles Kelly was responsible for the performance of the stores and their team.

A passion for pharmacy from both a business and a customer service perspective, together with a desire for a new professional challenge, prompted Kelly to embark on a new role with The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland Branch as Business Support Officer.

Kelly is a mother of two and enjoys volunteering for a homeless charity, competing in local fun runs and spending time with her family.

Elizabeth Whitehead

Pharmacy Business Support Pharmacist

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Queensland in 2010 and has worked in community pharmacy since 2006. During that time she has moved up from a pharmacy student to pharmacist in charge and has been responsible for the implementation of professional services in a sole pharmacist environment.

Elizabeth has watched the industry evolve from a transaction-based to a service-based business and is passionate about providing resources and support to help members sustain and grow their business.

Outside of work, Elizabeth has a keen interest in British history, practising yoga and travelling.
