Hidy has worked in the pharmacy industry for ten years and has spent nearly a decade working in an inner-city pharmacy involved in the Opioid Replacement Program. She is an accredited pharmacist and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Research and Commercialisation in 2012, and a pharmacy doctorate (UQ) in 2013.
Prior to joining The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland Branch, Hidy has worked as a clinical tutor and lecturer at the UQ School of Pharmacy. Whilst at the Guild, she has been involved in the Gold Coast Partners in Recovery project, which educated pharmacy staff to better support people with severe and persistent mental illness living in the community.
Outside of pharmacy, Hidy enjoys travelling and painting.
