Pharmacist Immunisation Training

This course is intended to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to safely and competently provide immunisations to people within the community pharmacy environment. This course includes training on delivery of Influenza, dTpa, MMR and Meningococcal ACWY vaccines.

Pharmacists completing this one-day course will obtain a certificate issued by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.

Scheduled 2020 Training Dates

  1. Click ‘Register’ below and log into your GuildEd profile to enrol.
  2. Click on the ‘Course List’ tab in the top navigation. The ‘Enrolment for Vaccination services delivered by Pharmacists’ will appear at the top of the list.
  3. Click ‘Add to Cart’ and follow the steps to review and proceed to checkout.
  4. Once you have made your online payment you will be immediately directed to the enrolment course.
  5. Click on the second tile to complete your enrolment and select your workshop date. You will be able to commence and complete your online pre-learning modules straight away.
  6. Remember to upload your course pre-requisite certificates by clicking on the tiles provided.

Course Pre-requisites

  1. Completion of online pre learning modules
  2. Current general registration with AHPRA
  3. ASCIA Anaphylaxis e-training for Pharmacists
  4. Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) - full course must be completed every 3 years
  5. Provide CPR (HLTAID001) - (The HLTAID003 includes the CPR Certificate HLTAID001) - provide CPR course must be completed every other year
  6. Pharmacies must also register with the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)

Please note all listed pre-requisites must be completed and provided prior to attendance of workshop.

Delivery

A blended delivery with two components

  1. Online pre learning modules (6 hours approx.)
  2. Face to Face workshop (8 hours)

Professional Development

Participants completing this course are eligible to claim 35 Group 2 CPD points (G2018053-WA)
