  • This course is intended to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to safely and competently provide immunisations to people within the community pharmacy environment.
  • Pharmacists completing this one-day course will obtain a certificate issued by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.

Please note that all dates are 9:00am - 5:00pm

Course Prerequisites

Immunisation Pre-Requisites

  • Completion of online pre learning modules
  • Current general registration with AHPRA
  • ASCIA Anaphylaxis e-training for Pharmacists
  • Provide First Aid (HLTAID003)
  • Provide CPR (HLTAID001) - (The HLTAID003 includes the CPR Certificate HLTAID001)

Please note all listed pre requisites must be completed and provided prior to attendance of workshop.
A blended delivery with two components
1. Online pre learning modules (6 hours approx.)
2. Face to Face workshop (8 hours)

Accreditation for this course is 35 Group 2 CPD points

Course Duration & Cost

One face-to-face training day: 09:00 - 17:00

Immunisation Training - $550 (GST Free) for Members, $880 (GST Free) for Non-Members

Annual Updates for Pharmacist Immunisers

Pharmacists that have successfully completed the pharmacist immunisation training in WA are reminded of the requirement to update the following annually:

CPR Certificate

There are no CPR courses currently scheduled to be held at the WA Branch. Members can access CPR Refresher training through Red Cross Training services.

ASCIA Anaphylaxis
Free Online Training

ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training for pharmacists has been developed by the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) to provide ready access to reliable anaphylaxis education for pharmacists throughout Australia and New Zealand, at no charge.


WA Health Online Influenza Module
Free Online Training

Qualified pharmacist immunisers are required to update their knowledge on influenza vaccines for each influenza season. The WA Department of Health has an online Influenza Update Module available on the website.

The WA Health Influenza Module provides the user with general influenza information and also reflects recent changes in influenza immunisation. A certificate can be printed upon successful completion of the module. Evidence must be kept by the pharmacist immuniser that the updates have been completed.


Maintaining Your First Aid Certificate - Renew every three years to stay current

In addition to the annual training updates detailed above, you must also ensure your First Aid qualification is up to date.

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid must be renewed every three years.
