Community Pharmacy Stakeholder Forum confirmed for 2018

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia today confirmed that the Community Pharmacy Stakeholder Forum will be held on Friday 7 September, at Pharmacy Connect 2018.

Pharmacy Guild Queensland Branch President and Chair of the Guild Pharmacy Viability Group, Trent Twomey said the Forum highlights the commitment of the Government to collaborate with community pharmacy.

“As part of the 6CPA both the Department of Health and the Guild agreed to hold ongoing stakeholder consultation on matters relating to the 6CPA,” Mr Twomey said.

“The Community Pharmacy Stakeholder Forum will provide an opportunity to give updates on key matters related to the 6CPA such as the Pharmacy Trial Programs, the implementation of the Pharmacy Compact and Cost Effective Reviews,” Mr Twomey said.

Approximately 50 key stakeholders will be invited to attend the Community Pharmacy Stakeholder Forum, including representatives from The Guild, PSA and SHPA.

Pharmacy Connect 2018 will be held from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 September at the Hilton Sydney. More information will be provided closer to the date.
