My Health Record consultation

Date: 7 February 2018

The consultation process has started on the My Health Record Guidelines for Pharmacists, a resource aimed at ensuring meaningful use of the My Health Record system by pharmacists.

By the end of 2018, all Australians will have a My Health Record unless they choose to opt out of the system.

Community pharmacists should review their practice and ensure they are ready to integrate use of the My Health Record system into patient care.

The guidelines have been developed by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and   comments are invited from interested parties including members of the pharmacy profession, consumers, other health professional groups and practitioners, educators, researchers and government bodies.

The paper can be accessed here and consultation is open until Tuesday 20 February 2018.
