Health Advice Plus Program

Introducing the Guild’s support service for member pharmacies who want to get started, or need additional support to integrate and deliver successful health programs and services.

The Guild’s Health Advice Plus Program provides a suite of resources and operational processes, tailored to your business. Our aim is to ensure that services delivered by your pharmacy are commercially and operationally viable, and provide quality health outcomes for your patients.

The Health Advice Plus Program is a cost-efficient, hands-on support package—developed by people who work in and understand pharmacy—that provides common sense incremental change management principles to transition your pharmacy to a professional service model.

The program is designed to identify the earning capacity of your pharmacy and then provide the assistance required to secure that income.

Health Adivice Plus program inclusions

The Health Advice Plus health modules are a complete solution for delivering professional services within specific disease state management areas, or health promotions. Each module is a ready-to-use kit to make it easy for you to execute the service, including marketing material, staff training, management processes and QCPP templates. In addition to the modules outlined in the following table, a Leave of Absence module is also in the final stages of development and a final module is yet to be determined.

The Opportunity Analysis

The Opportunity Analysis tool is a key component of the Guild’s Health Advice Plus Program and is designed to provide a customised report using a pharmacy’s data to highlight lost opportunity income linked to key service areas including:

  • 6CPA funded programs
  • Fixed 3rd party income
  • Prescription and medication programs
  • Screening and testing services

The tool, which is priced at $149 (incl. gst), also establishes a performance benchmarking mechanism to help participating pharmacies secure this revenue as they move to a professional services model.

Data from pharmacies which have undertaken opportunity analysis under the Health Advice Plus Program shows that, on average, pharmacies are missing out on an additional $20,000-$25,000 income from professional services annually.

Once you have completed your opportunity analysis, a Health Advice Plus representative will contact you to conduct a one-on-one feedback session that takes around 45 minutes to an hour. Your Health Advice Plus representative will discuss and analyse the results with you, providing strategic advice for developing your pharmacy’s professional services offer.
