Cultural Engagement Video Competition

Please note: Submitted videos may contain images, voices or names of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who have passed away.

The Community Pharmacy Cultural Engagement Video Competition returns in 2026, with the theme of “Full Scope: Shared Care”.

This free competition invites you to showcase the practical steps your pharmacy has taken to advance Closing the Gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, support culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and promote all-forms inclusion. It celebrates the transformative impact of culturally engaged pharmacy practice in creating meaningful change for patients and communities.

We invite pharmacists and their staff to submit a video (1-2 mins) for the Cultural Engagement Pharmacy Video Competition.

Best Video winner receives a prize package which supports implementation of full scope and continuous cultural engagement, and is valued at $4,000, proudly sponsored by The Guild. People’s Choice winner receives a free Full APP2027 Registration (including the Street Party).

Tips for Entrants

  • Use real stories: Staff, patients and community members make it relatable (ensure you receive their consent before filming!)
  • Show the setting: Grass-roots initiatives, pharmacy interiors, and community life.
  • Keep it focused: Choose a specific challenge and solution to spotlight to keep things engaging!
  • Include data: Even simple metrics (e.g. “50% increase in community partnerships”) add credibility.
  • Make it personal: How has your site been doing the on-the-ground warrior work?
