Improving the Customer Service Obligation

Now that we have a new Community Pharmacy Agreement in place, the Guild has represented our members by putting a proposal to the Government to improve the CSO requirements by specifically applying CSO funds to the less commercially-viable aspects of distribution – to more remote pharmacies, low volume medicines, special handling items such as cold-chain, Controlled Drugs, cytotoxics and high-cost medicines.  You can download and view the proposal here.

Seeking experiences with recruitment of pharmacists

The Guild is preparing a submission for the Skilled Migration Occupation Lists inquiry and we are keen to hear from Members of their experiences of recruitment difficulties to possibly include as part of the submission. The inquiry is reviewing the composition of the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and the Regional Occupation List (ROL) to identify occupations that would benefit from skilled migration for the purpose of meeting the skill needs of the Australian economy.
