Seeking experiences with recruitment of pharmacists

The Guild is preparing a submission for the Skilled Migration Occupation Lists inquiry and we are keen to hear from Members of their experiences of recruitment difficulties to possibly include as part of the submission. The inquiry is reviewing the composition of the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and the Regional Occupation List (ROL) to identify occupations that would benefit from skilled migration for the purpose of meeting the skill needs of the Australian economy.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia's submission to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality & Safety outlines the current role of community pharmacy in working with older Australians who have entered residential care, as well as those living independently in the community. The submission further explores the problems facing community pharmacists and offers solutions to enhancing safety, and the quality use of medicines delivered through community pharmacies across residential and community aged care.
