I Love Rural Pharmacy Video Competition

The I Love Rural Pharmacy Video Competition returns in 2026, with the theme of Rural Pharmacy: Insight to Impact”

The competition is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on rural pharmacies across Australia that have moved beyond theory to action, transforming ideas into tangible outcomes for their patients. Participants will showcase how they've tackled well-known challenges such as workforce shortages, access to health professionals, and service delivery by implementing real-world solutions that make a measurable difference in their communities. It’s a celebration of progress, innovation, and the power of rural pharmacy to drive meaningful change.

We invite regional, rural and remote pharmacists and their staff to submit a video (1-2 mins) for the I Love Rural Pharmacy Video Competition. The video competition provides a unique lens to showcase the opportunities of living in a rural community and working in a rural pharmacy as part of team. Winners will be judged based on their creative interpretation and ability to tell their story in unique, humorous, or novel ways.

Share your funny, interesting and successful (and not so successful) stories of how your community pharmacy has moved beyond theory to action, transforming ideas into tangible outcomes for their patients.

Entry is free, and only open to a community pharmacy employee or community pharmacy owner of a Modified Monash Model (MMM) 2-7 pharmacy. Best Video winner receives a prize package which supports implementation of full scope, and is valued at $4,000, proudly sponsored by Raven’s Recruitment. People’s Choice winner receives a free Full APP2027 Registration (including Street Party  ticket).

Tips for Entrants

  • Use real stories: Staff, patients and community members make it relatable (ensure you receive their consent before filming!).
  • Show the setting: Rural landscapes, pharmacy interiors, and community life.
  • Keep it focused: Choose one challenge and one solution to spotlight.
