Pharmacy Industry Award 2010 (updated 20 June 2013)
The PIA commences on 1 January 2010 and will apply to all employees under the national workplace relations system. Some changes (including ordinary time penalties and minimum wages) will transition from 1 July 2010.
A copy of the PIA must be available to all employees. This may include posting a copy to a staff notice board or the pharmacy intranet. A printed copy does not need to be provided to each individual employee.
Clause 7 of the PIA provides that certain terms may be varied by written agreement, referred to as Individual Flexibility Agreements. A fact sheet and template (updated 7 April 2010) have been created to assist members implement Individual Flexibility Agreements. A common use of the IFA can include making an agreement with an employee for a shorter than three hour shift, as shown in the template IFA .; this arrangement is only possible by genuine agreement with employees who were engaged before the PIA commenced. Members are encouraged to contact their local Branch to discuss their IFA requirements.
Pharmacy Industry Award 2010 (PIA) minimum wage rates in accordance with the Fair Work Commission decision 31 May 2016 to be applied from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2016.
