World Pharmacists Day

On World Pharmacists Day, we thank every community pharmacist for stepping up to support Australians’ health and wellbeing. From city centres to regional towns and remote communities, pharmacists are there for patients every day—trusted, accessible, and ready to help.

World Pharmacists Day is a global celebration that recognises the important role of pharmacists in meeting healthcare needs across the world. This year, the Guild is highlighting how community pharmacists delivering expanded services to meet the evolving needs of Australian patients.

In other states and territories, momentum is building as governments partners with the sector and learning institutions to expand training opportunities and pilot new services. Pharmacists all over the country are preparing to deliver more care for their communities.

Patients trust their pharmacists to provide advice, support medicines management, and deliver more accessible care. As that trust continues to grow, so too does the ability of pharmacists to provide more of the healthcare patients need—faster, more affordable, and close to home.

On World Pharmacists Day, we want to thank all pharmacists and let them know they are appreciated. Join in the conversation in 2026. Follow the Guild on social media and share our special WPD video on 25 September.
