Northern Territory celebrates winners of the National Pharmacy Awards

4 December 2025

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia Northern Territory Branch proudly announced the Territory’s most outstanding contributors to community pharmacy at the 2026 Northern Territory National Pharmacy Awards.

These awards recognise excellence in pharmacy practice through leadership, innovation, and deep community connection. The winners will now represent the Northern Territory in the national final at APP on the Gold Coast in March 2026.

This year's Northern Territory winners are:

  • Student Pharmacist of the Year: Elijah Callis
  • Community Pharmacist of the Year: Claire Ross
  • Community Pharmacy of the Year: Hibiscus Day & Night Pharmacy

The refreshed awards format expands recognition beyond pharmacies to include individual pharmacists and students. Pharmacy Guild of Australia NT Branch President Peter Hatswell said the winners reflect the strength and diversity of pharmacy practice across the Territory.

“These winners truly represent the spirit of community pharmacy in the Northern Territory—innovative, caring, and committed to improving the health of our communities,” Mr Hatswell said.

“From leadership and research to advanced clinical care and community engagement, their achievements highlight the incredible impact community pharmacy can have.”

“Through inclusive services, advocacy, and professional excellence, every finalist has contributed in meaningful ways. Their efforts strengthen the role of pharmacy across the Territory

“With the Northern Territory embracing expanded scope of practice for pharmacists, this is a pivotal moment to recognise the outstanding work being done in community pharmacies. These changes mean Territorians can access more timely and convenient care, reducing pressure on other parts of the health system.

“Exceptional pharmacies across the NT are leading the way in delivering innovative services and improving health outcomes, and it’s important to celebrate their commitment to patient care during this transformative period.”
