The 2025 Australian of the Year Awards are searching for everyday Australians making an extraordinary impact—and your nomination could change someone’s life. It only takes one person to recognise the quiet achievers, the tireless volunteers, and the local legends shaping our communities.
The Australian of the Year Awards seek to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary contributions of ordinary people across the country – and as frontline health workers leading the charge to revolutionise accessible care, community pharmacists are more than eligible for the title.
The awards are split into four categories:
- Australian of the Year, celebrating the achievements and contributions of eminent Australians who are role models for us all.
- Senior Australians of the Year, recognising Australians aged 65 and over who continue to achieve and make a difference.
- Young Australian of the Year, celebrating inspiring 16-to-30-year-olds who have accomplished great things in all walks of live.
- Australia’s Local Hero, acknowledging people making a difference in their local community.
Winners will be awarded in each State and Territory – so there’s plenty to go around!
