Earlier this month student representatives from across Australia’s 19 pharmacy schools, including the outgoing Board of Executive Directors, gathered in Perth for the Annual General Meeting of the National Australian Pharmacy Students’ Association.
Hosted by the Western Australian Pharmacy Students’ Association at Curtin University for the first time in NAPSA’s history, the AGM saw us consider the direction of your national body over the coming year.
Your Branch Presidents elected a new Board with a bold vision for the 2025/2026 term, and beyond. Personally, I was humbled by the trust placed in me through my re-election as your National President, for the first time in 40 years and only the fifth in NAPSA’s 80-year history. Working alongside me will be an experienced and dedicated team of Directors from all walks of life.
Not to be overshadowed by the election of this new team, at AGM2025 we discussed the way forward through our NAPSA 2030 vision document. With implementation of this vision officially kicking off that day, we are already hitting the ground running to deliver for pharmacy students.
Our Pharmacy Awareness Chair Hope Beljak - now a Director for the 2025/2026 term - announced results of our 2025 Charity Cup. With over $27,000 raised for Bandu, NAPSA’s branches fundraised the third-highest total in our Association’s history.
In Perth we also heard from the Congress 2026 Chair Chloe Ninh, updating the Board and your Presidents on preparations for the pharmacy student event of the year. Congress 2026 is set to be NAPSA’s biggest since 2019, and tickets are selling out fast. Make sure you’ve secured your registration here.
On behalf of the new NAPSA Board, a massive thank you to our thousands of members for your continued support.
