Professional Services Viability Tool

Combining established cost bases with a pharmacy’s own details, the Professional Services Viability Tool provides a guide for delivering pharmacy professional services.

The Professional Services Viability Tool is designed to be used in conjunction with the Professional Services Viability Tool User Guide. This guide provides instructions for using the tool and also incorporates some practical advice and considerations as provided to the Pharmacy Guild of Australia for implementing various professional services within a pharmacy.

The Professional Services Viability Tool provides a fee for service guide for delivering pharmacy professional services.  The fee suggested by the tool is a guide only and is by no means an indicated market price or recommendation by the Pharmacy Guild for pharmacy professional services costing.

The tool can be used or not used to determine your own service fee according to your individual costs (including wages, overheads and consumables etc), associated profit sales and a profit margin chosen in accordance to your competitive environment and business strategy.

A summary sheet is also generated which could be used as financial guidance to:

  • assess the potential viability of providing a range of professional services in your pharmacy; and
  • setting potential targets to manage the delivery of a range of professional services in your pharmacy.
