Pharmacy owners, managers, bookkeepers and staff responsible for rostering and payroll in a National System pharmacy are invited to join IR Officer, Kate Hall, for a half-day workshop outlining the National Employment Standards and the Pharmacy Industry Award 2020.

This half day workshop is intended to assist members to:

  1. Identify sources of information on relevant legislation, awards, agreements, policies and procedures.
  2. Interpret information in an industrial and workplace context.
  3. Implement legislative requirements, awards, contracts and policies in your workplace.

Topics covered include:

  • Annual Leave
  • Personal/Carer’s Leave
  • Long Service Leave Family and Domestic Violence Leave
  • Parental Leave
  • Full-time, part-time and casual employment
  • Meal breaks and rest pauses
  • Payment of wages
  • Public Holidays
  • Notice for termination of employment
