Privacy 101: My Health Record for Pharmacists

Under the My Health Records Act 2012, community pharmacies are authorised to view and upload information to the My Health Record system, providing it is for the purposes of delivering care.

In this Guild Business Insights webinar, aligned with Privacy Awareness Week (1-7 May), the Australian Digital Health Agency will provide a ‘Privacy 101 - Back to Basics’ session covering:

  • An overview of the My Health Record for pharmacists
  • Security and access to the My Health Record including policy templates and requirements
  • Emergency access provisions to the My Health Record
  • The pharmacy owner’s role in supporting security and access to the My Health Record by their pharmacist staff?
  • Staff training - Including inducting new pharmacist staff , ongoing staff training, locum expectations including QCPP accreditation requirements.
