Update on the 2026 Flu Vaccination Program

This decision follows careful consideration of program costs, required national scale, and changes in Australia’s flu vaccination landscape. Expanded government funded flu programs, including free state based initiatives, and broader access to vaccinations through community pharmacies have significantly reduced demand for employer funded workplace programs. As a result, the current GCH model is not viable for 2026.

We sincerely thank members for the professionalism and high quality vaccination services delivered through GCH. We recognise this will impact pharmacies and their patients and acknowledge the disruption and disappointment this decision may cause.

The Guild remains committed to supporting the expanding role of pharmacists and to developing sustainable, pharmacy led health services. During 2026, we will explore future options for Guild Corporate Health and new service models, guided by member feedback, industry changes, and government policy.
