The Pharmacy Guild of Australia's National Student Business Plan Competition, an Australia and New Zealand-wide challenge promoting creative entrepreneurship among students preparing for a career in community pharmacy, has announced the 2019 semi-finalists.

Five teams, from three universities - Auckland University, University of Technology Sydney and University of Queensland - have been awarded places in the semi-finals.

Some of the innovative ideas include new-to-market services related to skin cancer and skin conditions, back pain, mental illness and pharmacogenomics.

The semi-final round closes on 14 August 2019, with the top three teams progressing to the finals being held at the Pharmacy Connect Conference, Sydney 5-7 September 2019.
