Scope of practice in Queensland

Queensland community pharmacists’ scope of practice has been expanding since 2014, enabling the delivery of more accessible, high-quality healthcare services to patients across the state.

Since the transition of the 16 acute conditions under the Community Pharmacy Scope of Practice Pilot to permanent practice in July 2025, trained pharmacists can assess, manage and treat a range of common conditions—supporting Queenslanders where and when they need it most.
