Optional Immunisation Refresher Workshop An optional four-hour course for authorised pharmacist immunisers intended to increase confidence

This optional four hour course is designed for pharmacists who are already authorised immunisers and is intended to increase pharmacist confidence to deliver immunisation services.

This is a hands-on workshop covering:

  • Benefits, precautions and target groups for Influenza, dTpa, Meningococcal ACWY and MMR vaccinations.
  • Vaccine reconstitution technique
  • Injection techniques (Sub-cutaneous and Intra-muscular)

Course Pre-requisites

Participants must hold a current Pharmacist Immuniser certificate.

Please note: The online dTpa, MMR and Meningococcal theory course is not a pre-requisite to completion of this workshop. However, it must be completed prior to vaccinating for dTpa, MMR and Meningococcal ACWY.

Course Duration and Cost

This is a four hour practical workshop.

  • Guild members and staff: $275
  • Non-members: $385

Online dTpa, MMR & Meningococcal ACWY Training Online theory training for pharmacist immunisers whom completed immunisation training prior to 2019

The range of vaccinations available to all West Australians now includes dTpa, MMR and Meningococcal ACWY. If you completed your immunisation training prior to 2019, in order to be able to perform these new immunisations you must complete the three relevant theory modules (dTPa, MMR and Meningococcal).

Course Pre-requisites

Participants must hold a pharmacist immunisation certificate prior to enrolment.

Course Duration and Cost

This theory-based course is delivered online via the GuildED learning platform.

This training is provided at no cost to Guild members and staff ($150 for non-members).


To enrol you will need to provide the following via email to reception@wa.guild.org.au:

  1. A digital copy (pdf/jpeg) of your certificate of immunisation
  2. Your email address registered with your GuildED account
