Australia Immunisation Register (AIR) Reporting and Corrections

The Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) is a national immunisation register that records vaccines given to all people in Australia. This includes COVID-19 vaccines, vaccines given under the National Immunisation Program (NIP), and vaccines given privately, such as for seasonal influenza or travel.

Under the Australian Immunisation Register Act 2015, it is mandatory for all vaccination providers to report the administration of COVID-19, influenza, NIP and Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) vaccines to the AIR.

AIR reports can be generated through your professional services software (e.g. MedAdvisor, Go-Bookings) or via the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) portal.

Information on recording vaccinations in AIR can be found on Manage immunisation records in AIR - Health professionals - Services Australia.

If incorrect data is submitted to the AIR, please amend these records on the AIR.

Pharmacies can find further information on making amendments using the AIR site or with practice management software here, and updating vaccination data already submitted to the AIR site here. Pharmacies should also immediately email the corrected details to cpipp@wa.guild.org.au.

Compliance and Auditing

The Western Australian Government reserves the right to audit participating pharmacies and order them to repay or take other action if they determine it is appropriate.
