You may transfer your ticket to another person. Please notify us in writing before the Event with the replacement attendee's name and contact details.

7. Changes or cancellation by us

We may need to change the date, time, venue or program of the Event. If we cancel the Event, we will refund the ticket price. Our liability for any change to, or cancellation of, the Event is limited to the ticket price paid.

The Guild is not responsible for any delay, change, cancellation, interruption or inability to hold the Event caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including venue issues, extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public health issues, industrial action, supplier failure or other unforeseen events. If this occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered attendees and, where practicable, provide an alternative arrangement, postponement, credit or refund having regard to the circumstances.

8. Dietary requirements and accessibility

Please notify us of any dietary requirements or accessibility needs when you register, and no later than Monday 31 August 2026, subject to confirmation that this date aligns with the venue’s final catering and guest-list deadlines. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate notified requirements and needs, subject to the venue’s capacity to do so.

Additional fundraising activities may be conducted at or in connection with the Event, including raffles, auctions, prize draws, pledge activities or similar activities. Participation in any such activity is optional and may be subject to separate terms, eligibility requirements or conditions, which will apply in addition to these terms and conditions.

10. Photography and filming

You acknowledge and agree that the Event may be photographed, filmed or recorded. By attending the Event, you consent to the Guild using and disclosing your name, image, likeness, voice and recording in material connected with the Event, the Guild, the Pharmacy Guild Foundation and future events, including promotional material, without compensation to you. If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please notify us before the Event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee that you will not appear in incidental crowd, background or venue shots.

11. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information to administer your registration for, attendance at, and participation in the Event and, unless you opt out, to provide information about future Guild events, services and activities. Your personal information may be disclosed, where necessary, to the venue and third-party service providers engaged to facilitate the Event. We will only use or disclose your personal information for the purposes described above, or where otherwise permitted or required by law. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and the Guild's Privacy Policy, available on the Guild's website. If you choose not to provide the personal information requested, we may be unable to process your registration for the Gala Dinner.

12. Conduct and alcohol

You must comply with these terms and conditions, all applicable laws, any terms and conditions or requirements imposed by the venue, and any reasonable direction given by the Guild, the venue, or their employees, agents or contractors. Alcohol will be served in accordance with the venue’s responsible service of alcohol obligations. Attendees under 18 years of age must comply with any venue entry requirements and must not purchase or consume alcohol. The Guild and the venue reserve the right to refuse entry to, remove, or decline to serve alcohol to any person who behaves inappropriately, fails to comply with directions, cannot provide acceptable proof of age if requested, or otherwise acts in a manner considered unsuitable for the Event.

13. Liability

You attend the Event at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Guild is not liable to you for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense, including any incidental, indirect, special, consequential or economic loss, arising out of or in connection with your registration for, attendance at, or participation in the Event, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Guild’s aggregate liability to you is limited to the ticket price paid. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are responsible for your own conduct at the Event. If your conduct causes loss, damage, cost or expense to the Guild, the venue or another attendee, we may ask you to meet the reasonable costs directly arising from that conduct, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts entitled to hear appeals from those courts.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is invalid, void or unenforceable, that provision will be severed to the extent of the invalidity, voidness or unenforceability, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Any provision that by its nature is intended to survive termination, cancellation or completion of the Event will continue to apply.
