The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, in conjunction with iCollege, is offering fully-funded infection control training to pharmacies and their staff.
With the relaxation of Western Australia's hard borders as of Saturday 14 November, it is critical for pharmacies to undertake Infection Control training to ensure their workplace is COVID-19 safe.
The WA Branch Business Support Team is also on-hand to provide further support and assistance to Guild member pharmacies and their staff.
This Infection Control Training is recommended for both pharmacists and pharmacy assistants. The course involves a mixture of online learning, practical video assessments and on-the-job workplace assessments.
Before you start your enrolment, please be aware that you will need the following:
As part of your training, you will need to submit videos demonstrating the knowledge you have gained through the online learning. Six practical video demonstrations are required to be submitted for assessment in a number of areas, including: hand hygiene, donning and doffing PPE and cleaning a spill.
For each practical assessment we have listed the equipment you will need, the steps you need to follow and a video demonstration. Please see each section below for your in-depth guide on completing each video submission.
Once enrolled all course requirements must be completed within 30 days.
